Triple Tumblin’ Totems review

Play n GO · November 5, 2026
Triple Tumblin' Totems, designed by Play'n GO, takes players to a tropical island setting where totems, elemental spirits, and a volcano set the scene for a cascading slot adventure. Play'n GO has been down these ways before, many moons ago in Rotiki, and has returned, this time with three-pot gaming and a variety of extras including no less than three free spins bonus rounds to work through. Players with a soft spot for the three-pot style are invited to take a look with us; just don't forget the virtual sunscreen or mosquito repellent, and be ready to run when the lava chunks start to fly.

In the online slot world, it seems like every Pacific Island has a volcano at its centre, surrounded by lush bush, and tiki-style imagery. The one in Triple Tumblin' Totems does, lying dormant in the base game, a looming yet peaceful part of the natural surroundings. That changes in free spins as the beast erupts, pouring lava down its sides, spreading terror through the trees and the surrounding area. It's not the most original view ever seen in a slot; this style emerges from the depths of the deep Pacific Ocean every so often, but Play'n GO has designed a pretty version, quite lively in its animations and spirits.

Triple Tumblin' Totems' grid can expand when certain features are active, but its default size is 5x3 where 243 payways are provided. The minimum wagerable amount is $/€0.10 while the max is $/€100. A medium/high volatile math model accompanies the tumblin', and of the five RTPs, 96.2% is the one to choose if available. Triple Tumblin' Totems features tumblin' reels, which remove winning combination symbols, and new symbols fall into the spaces from above. Cascades continue until no more wins are created.

Ten to Ace card ranks are the low pays, awarding 0.3x-0.5x the stake when landing 5-of-a-kind. Above them in value are shells, daggers, drums, and masks, paying 0.8x-1.5x the stake for a 5 OAK hit. Wilds substitute for every symbol except scatters. They land on all five reels and pay 5x if five wilds form a winning combination.

Triple Tumblin' Totems' features are three Fire Spirit scatters, Totem Blessings, and free spins where Blessings are enhanced.

In the base game, up to one Fire Spirit (Green, Blue, or Red) may appear per reel stop and is collected by the respective Tiki Totem. After collection, any Fire Spirit type may appear on cascades. When a feature is triggered by one Fire Spirit, only the other two Fire Spirit types may appear on cascades. When collecting any Fire Spirit, Totem Blessings may randomly trigger.

Fire Spirits landing in the base game can trigger 3 types of Totem Blessings. Green, Blue, and Red trigger Expand, Transform, and Multiplier, respectively. Each Blessing awards 2-3 wilds when triggered. Free spins play out after Totem Blessings if both trigger at the same time, though Blessings are not carried over.

Three different free spin rounds can be triggered from the base game when consecutive cascades occur. Getting 4 cascades awards Fire Spins, 5 cascades award Blaze Spins, and 8 cascades award Inferno Spins. The highest free spins tier achieved is awarded, and each feature has 7 free spins. Before free spins begin, the Totem Blessings Wheel awards 1 random enhanced Totem Blessing for Fire Spins, 2 for Blaze Spins, and all are active in Inferno Spins.

On every non-winning free spin, 1 sticky wild is added to the reels. Any sticky wilds not part of a win remain sticky and carry over to the next free spin. Sticky wilds used in wins are removed. When 3 or more consecutive cascades occur, 1 extra spin is awarded up to 12, or up to 19 if Expand is active and during Inferno Spins.

The enhanced Expand can expand reels up to 2 positions per reel, leading to a 5x5, 3,125 payways grid. Reels do not reset during free spins. Enhanced Transform adds a Bronze frame to every position that winning symbols are removed from. Winning symbols removed from within frames upgrade them from Bronze to Silver, then Gold. At the end of the round, Bronze frames award 1x-2x, Silver 2x-5x, and Gold 5x-10x. For the enhanced Multiplier, reels with winning symbols removed from them activate the x1 multiplier, then when removed again on the same reel the multiplier increases to x2. Multipliers on corresponding winning reels are added and applied to the win, up to a maximum of x10. Multipliers do not reset during free spins.

Triple Tumblin' Totems is a pretty energetic cascade slot that takes a well-worn tropical setting and gives it a Play'n GO makeover. While the totem, volcano, and elemental spirit theme may not win prizes for original choice, the studio has made it all look rather nice. In contrast to the background volcano, it's also a game that shuns dormancy. Triple Tumblin' Totems is all about movement, one of the main goals being consecutive cascades, not only to pile up wins, but to eventually trigger free spins when four or more cascades are strung together. Till then, you get the odd Totem Blessing in the main game to help with the rolling along, before benefitting from enhanced versions in the bonus rounds when active.

Each of the three Blessing modifiers can be advantageous. Expand leads to a lot more ways to win, a multiplier is always good to have, and Transform is able to inject prizes where frames are placed, though their individual values aren't massive. Winning potential seems realistic, at 5,000x the bet, and while games like this usually shine brightest when all three modifiers are active, Triple Tumblin' Totems feels like it could do quite well with just two - Expand and Multiplier working together. The final icing on the cake is sticky wilds, though they're not fully, fully sticky, but you know, not bad to stack on the grid for future spins.

Overall, Triple Tumblin' Totems was a rather pleasing three-pot package with a decent collection of mechanics. Nothing special, but there's an interplay going on here that enthusiasts may like to demo. It does not radically reinvent the tropical/totem formula, yet it combines a trio (and more) of ingredients quite effectively and gives them expansive room to interact. Players who enjoy this type of gaming and don't possess enormous expectations should find enough here to keep the tumbles interesting.

Triple Tumblin' Totems is a lively cascade slot with a solid mix of complementary features, though there's little here that truly sets it apart from the crowd.
